There was no follow through on Friday’s rally to new all-time highs in the S&P 500 index.
The early weakness in premarket trading was overcome by the opening bell.
On the downside, the index did not breach the premarket low (4412.75) and found support early in the session right at Friday’s low (4416) at the 4416.75.
On the upside, the index made a few attempts at the Friday’s all-time high (4433.25), but came up just shy, only reaching 4332.
The top components of the index were mixed with Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) showing relative strength in the technology sector.
For the session, the index was lower on the day by 3.75 at 4425.75.
