With the banks and cash bond market closed for Veteran’s Day, it was a quiet day on Wall Street.

The index did follow through on its late-day rebound on Wednesday in premarket trading. However, the rally was snuffed right from the open of the regular session. In fact, the index did not come close to the premarket high (4461.50) and peaked a few ticks higher than its first print of the regular session at 4657.

On the downside, the index could not come close to the premarket low (4638) as the index briefly touched 4642 in the closing minute. The closing price that coincided with the cash’s index’s close was one handle higher at 4643.

In a tight range ($8.13), Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ: NVDA) was the biggest gainer of the top components. For the session, it was higher by $9.31 or 3.16% to close at $303.90.

That was much better than the cash index’s gain of 0.06%,

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) was the biggest loser of the top components. It had an inside day (lower high and higher low) and shed $1.21 or 0.74% to close at $163.06.
